Wow! What a year

Well its getting to that time of year when we look back and reflect on what has been. For me it is not so much about the challenges and triumphs, but the moments that made me light up with inspiration and connected with my true essence, the things that make me uniquely me.

Overall, it has been such a great year and I'm so grateful to have had it. I've been lucky enough to be able to take up two amazing opportunities for solo exhibitions in my twin home towns of Tamworth and Brisbane, and as part of the Tamworth Regional Art Collective I have had the privilege of designing and creating two new permanent public art installations in Tamworth. Moreover, in doing so I have found equal amounts of joy in working in my own creative space and collaborating with other amazing creatives who constantly inspire me.

Now I am looking forward to all of the so-far unfilled potential of 2017 and wondering how I can fill it? Exhibitions, competitions, products, markets, workshops, community projects or simply inspiring others to connect to their creativity - the future is so abundantly unmapped and full of endless possibilities!

I would definitely love to have a solo exhibition that puts my art in front of a new audience (Sydney!?) and that builds on what I have done this year. I would love to have my work reach into the hearts, minds and imagination of new friends and followers. And I would love to start on another major project with my gang, the Tamworth Regional Art Collective and see us grow as a creative team.

I'm looking to the new year full of wide-eyed anticipation and hoping that 2017 brings more surprising opportunities and chances to say "yes" and to leap into the great unknown.

And while I keep dreaming away, can I say thank you! Thank you for being a part of my 2016, for following my progress, encouraging me, egging me on with your kind words and keeping me smiling. I have appreciated you every step of the way.

So here's to the great unknown and stepping boldly into 2017 together - May we surprise ourselves all over again!
